Peter N. Grant is President and CEO of Health Care Conference Administrators, LLC, a company which sponsors media and educational events, including national conferences, internet-based events, and publications on matters of health care practice and policy. He is also chair of Train for Compliance, LLC and Health IT Certification, LLC. Mr. Grant serves on the Editorial Board of Health Affairs and the Advisory Board of Harvard Health Policy Review. He is a partner and chair of the Health Law Section of Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP (DWT). DWT has fourteen offices with 375 attorneys, including approximately 50 health care attorneys.

In addition to his duties as a consultant for a number of highly respected healthcare organizations, Mr. Sorensen has assisted with corporate acquisitions and mergers and improving operations and profitability of various organizations.

Vivien Maier is President and CEO of Vivien Maier and Associates, Inc. a total event management company. Ms. Maier has provided meeting planning services for clients in a wide variety of fields such as health care, financial, technology, marketing, legal, education, and non-profits, both nationally and internationally since 1988. She has worked with Health Care Conference Administrators overseeing event and faculty logistics since 1998. Ms. Maier was President of the Washington State Chapter of Meeting Professionals International 1997-1998. She received her Certified Meeting Professional designation in January 1996. In June 1996, Ms. Maier received the prestigious "Planner of the Year" Award from the Washington State Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.

Mr. Aitchison is the CEO and Principle Technology Consultant of Cygnus Design & Consulting in Bellingham, WA. He has specialized in Internet Technologies since 1996 and has represented companies in the Health Care-related industry since 1998. Mr. Aitchison has also consulted and provided solutions for firms in a wide range of fields, including technology, entertainment, education, and finance. He has worked with Health Care Conference Administrators on HIPAA and other compliance issues, coordinating their internet technologies since 1999.

Justin Sorensen

Justin Sorensen is President and CEO of Forerunner Events, a premier event management and registration company. He started his career as a project manager at Scimitar Ridge Ranch -- a 5-star retreat center located in the Pacific Northwest. At Scimitar, Mr. Sorensen was responsible for the registration and experience of each client. He also coordinated team-building retreats for Fortune 100 corporate employees. After Scimitar, Mr. Sorensen worked in the Customer Experience department at United Airlines in San Francisco and Chicago. During his time at United, he managed the elite service line for 100K fliers, United's Premium Service (p.s.), and more than 30 airplane modification projects, including the retrofit of United's International First and Business class aircraft. In 2009, he moved to Seattle and founded Forerunner Events. Mr. Sorensen has a BA in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.

Kathryn Plumb is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with over 15 years experience planning and managing a diverse range of meetings and events on behalf of clients across Government, Healthcare, Legal, Pharmaceutical and Real Estate sectors. Kathryn has a broad background as both a Corporate and an Independent Planner and combines her communication, legal, and strategic planning expertise to deliver best results in financial achievement and attendee experience. She has been a key member of the HCCA team managing site-selection, contract negotiations, event logistics and budget-cost control strategies for over 5 years.

Raymond (Beau) Carter

Mr. Carter is in charge of agenda development and faculty recruitment for the Emergency Management Summit, the Medicaid Congress, the Medical Home Summit, the Medicare RAC Summit, and the Medicare Readmissions Summit and assists with development of the National Quality Colloquium. He is also in charge of managing attendees' online access for all conferences which are streamed live over the Internet. In addition, he prepares a bi-weekly Medicaid Update e-Newsletter and a monthly Readmissions Update e-Newsletter. In a separate role, Carter serves as editor of the monthly publication Medical Home News for Health Policy Publishing, LLC based in Modesto, CA. His previous work in the private sector includes designing physician pay-for-performance programs as a Senior Health Policy Consultant with Med-Vantage, eight years as the original Executive Director of the Integrated Healthcare Association, and eight as a senior executive with the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California. The first half of his career was in the public sector as a policy analyst and program manager for seventeen years with the US Department of HEW/HHS in Washington, DC and San Francisco following a tour in Vietnam with the US Army.

Conferences he has worked on include the National EHR Summit, National Palliative Care Summit and the National Health Insurance Reform Congress. He is the editor of the bi-weekly Patient Safety eNewsletter. Peter graduated from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and currently works out of Beverly Hills, California.

Cherish Flint serves as a web assistant to Stephen Aitchison at Cygnus Design & Consulting in Bellingham, WA. Mrs. Flint has also worked in document editing and design within a variety of industries, including health care, education, and career services. Prior to graduating from Western Washington University in 2005, she worked as a hospitality manager and volunteered as a peer-health counselor at the university. Mrs. Flint has worked for Cygnus Design & Consulting since 2009.
